Life Shouldn’t Be Taxing.
It’s tax time, and squeezing in those last-minute donations can not only help your bottom line but support The Victorian Chautauqua as well. Grants, corporate sponsorships, fundraising campaigns, and private donations generously fund the family-friendly weekend event. Each of these factions allows the festival to be free to the public, support the arts, and perpetuate knowledge of the significant history of Mountain Lake Park.
Donations to The Victorian Chautauqua help pay for performance and special guest fees, annually updated signage, promotional print materials, and on-site needs such as staging, rentals of tents, tables, and chairs, sound systems, and the ever-important port-a-potties. An incredible stable of volunteers allows the festival to run smoothly from set-up to break-down and act as festival ambassadors all weekend long.
Entering the fourth year, The Victorian Chautauqua continues to grow and adapt to audience feedback. The Leo Martin Memorial Park has been significantly upgraded with pavers surrounding the Martin Tent, new sidewalks and grass, and plans for permanent public restrooms, including one ADA/Family restroom. The improvements make the Martin stage more easily accessible to those using walkers or wheelchairs and add a more stable surface for seating. Additional walls surrounding the Splash Pad provide a lot more seating. The little white house in the park is being restored to become a centerpiece of the park and festival grounds.
All giving levels are appreciated, and various perks come with larger donations. General donors between $100 and $499 will get their name or company logo on the website. Patrons giving between $500 and $999 will also be listed on printed materials. Bronze sponsors with gifts between $1000 and $1999 receive all of the above plus a complimentary ticket to the annual fundraiser dinner for each one thousand dollars. Silver Sponsors are for donations of $2000, and Gold Sponsors at $5000 include the above perks plus special mentions throughout the festival weekend.
