Black Magic Is Back
Black Magic Burlesque Circus Troupe will be returning to the Victorian Chautauqua in 2024. Their showstopping performance kicked off the first year of Vaudeville In The Street, a new feature of live music and unusual acts. The four-person troupe dazzled audiences with hula-hoop, flow, acrobatics, and fire handling. The in-the-round program unfolded in the center of the Victorian Chautauqua Midway. Quick, thirty-minute acts throughout the weekend brought lively entertainment between staged historical portrayals and lectures at the Martin and Deaconess Tents.
Following each performance, the colorful quartet happily mixed and mingled to talk about their craft and how they became performance artists. This new addition to the Victorian Chautauqua was a huge hit for all and will be even grander in 2024. The schedule of events is well underway and will be announced in the coming months.
