Ethan Kelley takes the 2022 Hairyman trophy home to West Virginia.

Congratulations to Ethan Kelley from West Virginia who won the title of 2022 Hairyman Beard & Mustache Champion at the Victorian Chautauqua. The competition was fierce this year with seven entrants seeking the honorable distinction. The lively match was emceed by Mountain Lake Park resident Mikey Virts who kept the energy high along with panel judges, Fred Jacoby, Cherie Krug, Kathy Beachler, Executive Director of the Garrett County Arts Council, and stylist Nicole Pershing representing Deep Creek Salon that sponsored the contest.

Second and third place engraved glass mugs went to James Pershing and Robert Fanning respectively. Participants in this year's faceoff took to the stage for a group photo. Standing behind the judges from left to right were Gary Sines, David Moran, Robert Fanning, James Pershing, Ethan Kelley (winner), Anthony Adams, and Sean Beachy.
